From: Chapter 26 -Snow!
The snowstorm and blizzard seemed to be the gods’ way of making sure that they tightened their unit of oneness. At times, they were intertwined like one tree truck with extending branches. When they were not comforting each other, they read, played chess or Scrabble.
It was cold but the blankets, comforters and her grandmother’s special quilt kept them warm. The food and water supply lasted, and they hoped that the snow would soon end. It had been snowing for four days and then it happened. Poof! The power went out. Luckily, it happened at night, so Tyre lit the fireplace and held her close. Phoenix lit a couple of candles, and she decided to write him a love poem.
She scribbled:
"I love you my dear, You make me wipe a tear.
I love you with all of my heart, Being with you gives me a new start.
I love you like no other, Comparable only to my mother."
