Tyre's Girls- An Excerpt

Chapter 1- Sisters Talking

“Girl, you need to tell how you feel,” Leah said emphatically.
“I know, but I can’t,” whimpered Rachel on the phone.
“Well, if you can’t tell him, then write him a letter and make sure he reads it. Girl, you have to toughen up. People always act a fool if they think they can get away with it. You will learn,” she softened.
The two sisters had truly bonded over the years though they lived on different sides of the country. They talked, texted, and even wrote letters to keep the connection strong which gave their father Tyre great pride.
Leah was now a young mother, wife, and savvy real estate salesperson in the San Francisco/Oakland area. She remained steadfast, and candid as she had always been and she still felt the need to be a big sister to both Rachel and her younger sister, Asha.
Rachel was now a sophomore college student still living in the Amherst, Massachusetts area with her parents, Tyre, and Phoenix. They encouraged her to live on campus as they gently pushed her out of the nest. They felt that she needed the socialization along with the experience of living around others close to her age. She had been a sheltered and only child. Now the dating bug had begun to test her as tried her new wings at love. However, her so-called boyfriend was often a no-show and had been rumored to date other girls when she was not around.
