Dolphin Lake -Chapter 7
Tyre called his father back and said that he would be there within the next fifteen minutes and that he was bringing Phoenix. Once they got into Tyre’s SUV, they drove along, listening to easy music and heard Nat King Cols crooning, “You Call it Madness, I Call it Love.” Phoenix responded, “Love him.”
“What types of music do you like, Phoenix?” Tyre asked.
“All types. From classical to easy listening to pop, rock, R&B, jazz, and limited rap,” she closed.
“Limited rap. Understood. Very versatile, I would say,” he responded.
“Yes, I played flute in high school band, plus both of my parents enjoyed a wide range of music,” she said.
“All of those things make the whole person,” Tyre added.
“You are so right, professor,” she teased. They both laughed lightly and shortly. He was pulling up in front of a small quaint brick house with a well-groomed lawn, after entering the village of Matteson.
“Nice,” she thought. “Why out here?” she asked.
“His sister and her husband live close by,” he answered.
