Leah and Daddy David- Chapter 5

“Yes. So, will it be bookstore, or no?” he asked.

"Yes. I would like that,” Leah said to David.

“Good because the flight from California to Massachusetts is a long flight and having plenty to do will keep you calm. I expect you to obey the flight staff that will be looking out for you and of course, you will have your phone to reach out to me anytime you need me. Is that clear, Leah?” David asked her.

“Yes, Daddy,” she said succinctly. “And Leah, Papa Tyre is your biological father, and I am your forever Daddy. We both love you and it is only fair that we share you. But your mother and I married before you were born. You will always be my little girl,” his voice cracked a little. He coughed to cover it up.

“There is enough love to spread around,” he said trying to convince himself. “You will be meeting your little sister Rachel for the first time,” he went on. 

“I know. I already wrote her a letter and Mama helped me mail it!” she exclaimed.

“Great. So now you will be a big sister to both Asha and Rachel. Tall order,” he laughed. “But it has its rewards, though. You will always be their role model. They will look up to you and whatever you do, they might do also.”
