Day One with Leah- Chapter 19

Phoenix hugged her and said, “Leah, you will be here with me and Papa
Tyre for a few days. And then, you and I will fly back to California to
your home, together.”
“On the aero- plane?” asked Leah
“Yes. On the airplane,” answered Phoenix.
“Okay. But where is Daddy? Where is Asha?” she wanted to know.
“They will be waiting for us when we get off the airplane. But for three
days, you will be me and Papa Tyre’s little girl. Will you be our little girl
for three days?” Phoenix coaxed.
“We don’t have a little girl we want you to keep us company for three
days,” smiled Phoenix.
“Okay,” Leah said reluctantly. I will be your little girl for three days.
One,” she counted on her fingers. “Two, three.”
Phoenix laughed and said, “Here, you hold on to Miss Cheyenne to make
sure, that she doesn’t feel lonely, while I make up the beds,” Phoenix said
as she handed Leah her teddy bear.
