“What is he majoring in?” her granny went on with her query.
“He is undecided,” said Rachel.
“Well, sounds like to me, he is undecided about a lot of things,” Septima chuckled. She tried to lighten the load as she surely remembered that the affairs of the heart are rarely a laughing matter. “Here is what I think, sweet girl. Focus on your studies. Keep a good book handy to get your mind off the little stuff.

As the saying goes, “It’s the little foxes.” It means that it is the little things that can throw you off your base. This may not make sense to you now, but it will make sense over time. Go out with your happy friends. Dance after studying the books and give life the light touch. Eat healthily. Get plenty of sleep so you can stay balanced. And laugh, Rachel. Trust me, it is not that serious. The old folks used to say, ‘You are just going through.’ Just know that this too shall pass."
