A Man to Man Talk - Chapter 13.

Tyre smiled and took another swig of his beer and said, “So, Dad, you hiding something?”
“Aw, no. Just a friend I met while bowling,” he waved his hand.
“I see,” smiled Tyre. “Hot date?”
“Just a friend, Tyre,” he said and laughed.
“So, I have been doing all of the talking and trying to sort things out, and you have been holding out on me. Dad?” He laughed. “But, seriously, Dad, that is great!”

“Yes, it is,” he closed. Silence. There was more chopping, and different vegetables were placed in the wok. “I say, go for it with Phoenix, Tyre. When a good opportunity presents itself, take it. How does the saying go? You wait long and you wait wrong,” said Elisha.

“Yeah. Like I did in college. I blew it with someone, but she has moved on,” said Tyre.

“She was not yours, Son, but I do remember her, and I liked her. Now you have someone, and your eyes are fully open. Right?” Elisha asked. 

“Wide open, Dad. Wide open,” Tyre emphasized.
